It was so icy cold for a North Florida afternoon. 40 degrees.
I know. Treacherous, right? Ok, I’m a wimp. However, I am so glad I went. I did… well, you can see by the picture. I always run slow now. But I must say, that stupid Plantar Faciitis came back with a vengeance. I am fasting tomorrow, so I hope the inflammation will subside.
Tomorrow needs to be the long run day. I honestly did not have the time today. I had to get back home before my daughter needed to be in my car and heading toward the Community Theatre for her impression of Tina Turner.
What brought my pain back?
Well, I think it was a flour tortilla? I was doing awesomely, then in the evening, my poor little heel started whimpering at me.
I don’t know how cold it will be tomorrow for my 8 or nine miles, but I need to be ready. Today was cool and wet. My runner’s cap off to all those warriors who run in zero degree weather and such. Thou art a hero to me… or actually a bunch of heroes, but each one, individually.. well, you know.
Happy Monday my fellow outdoor friends.
How do you psyche yourself up for running/hiking in the elements?
